Visit the Scottish Wildlife Trust's Montrose Basin Visitor Centre, home to over 50,000 migrating birds. Montrose Basin  reserve is close by. Nearby, puffins can be seen at Crawton in season, the SNH St Cyrus nature reserve is also close. The loch of Lowes is 50 miles from Montrose.
